My imposter syndrome was suddenly cured yesterday.
For six months I watched my supervisor chase after another coworker. Everywhere she went, boss guy was right there. I thought they had to be working on some project together, so I wisely kept my nose out of it. He’s in his mid 40’s and had been at the company for years and years. He is also married. So is she. They’re both too old and smart to act like idiot teenagers.
Well I was incorrect. Bossmang got canned out of nowhere, co-worker left some weeks before. They were fooling around, I don’t know (or care) to what extent. Two marriages ruined, two careers ruined, but my imposter syndrome is gone because I know there is no way I’m that fucking stupid.
