it’s an alternative to natural birth. the lady basically gets cut open by medical professionals to take the baby out. it’s actually routine in many places of america

yeah and i find it weird how little attention is given to the symbolic targets … the World Trade Center was largely involved in establishing cross-country businesses … in other words, meddling within other country’s internal economics (often to the dismay of the local population). by far not all people in the world wanted free trade. so they attacked the free trade center … and that was a symbol against free trade, free trade being an unwanted thing by many other people around the globe because it meant the disruption of native economic systems, etc.
and yet that fact that free trade is not globally understood as something universally good, and that maybe there should be less of it, … i don’t think that i’ve ever heard any newspaper talk about that.

1·18 hours agoi would have guessed that the low blood sugar would be the bigger problem … blood sugar too low for too long -> body cannot maintain vital functions.

5·18 hours agoamerica has a “suffering is good, actually” culture. you see this in every aspect in life, especially work culture, it seems to me (as an outsider)

no, but a fucking impact with 700 km/h can fucking tear it apart.
what i kinda don’t get about this whole thing … is that kinda, in other countries (look at the middle east), they get bombed daily and none of you bats an eye (well, some do, but still, this has been going on for 50 years and i hardly ever hear anyone talking about it). meanwhile you get one terrorist attack and everyone’s supposed to lose their minds over this.
lots of people have been bombed all around the world, not just “russian or israeli”
well yeah subsidies, partially, but a whole lot of area in the US is good for grazing, but not good enough for grains. so cows are a natural way to use that landscape, otherwise it goes completely unused. that’s also a reason why there exists animal products in the first place.
Although, all that’s about to change since 1/3 of the planet’s fertilizer production was wiped out.
i wouldn’t worry about that too much. these things sound scary but we’re damn good at industry in basically any country these days, we’ll make new fertilizer somehow.
eh, i’d say, here in central europe, all the ingredients for a proper meal are to be had for probably 4€ (roughly $5) but still, restaurants add like a 300% markup to that or sth
i basically stopped going out to eat like a few years ago. i used to go to restaurants basically daily when it was like 6€ for a full, filling lunch. that was the good stuff.
now it’s like 8€ for a tiny sandwich and if you go to a “proper restaurant”, you easily pay 16€ just for the main course, then add drinks, etc. it’s just not worth it.
meanwhile if i eat at home, it’s basically never over 10€/day for all the day’s food. just mix potato salad with tuna and call it dinner, that’s what i do :)

so what you’re saying is that people eat less for various reasons, one of them being stress.
no need to get angry.
