It is standard usage. Also, in reference to your comment, you say “Ellipsis are wrongly used again”. Ellipsis is the singular form, meaning you have an error there. You can say, “ellipsis is wrongly used…” Or you can say, “ellipses are wrongly used…” The choice is yours.
