    It wasn’t actually the f-word because they speak a different language in Austria

      To clarify - the name of the village was the literal word ‘Fucking’, which was printed on the road signs that kept being stolen. Of course, ‘Fucking’ doesn’t mean ‘fucking’ in German (that would be ‘ficken’); according to Wikipedia, the (previous) name of the village (“Fucking”) means “(place of) Focko’s people”.

    “Intercourse” used to actually mean something like “race track”, which is what the town in Pennsylvania is named for.
