You got me. It’s both, actually. I was kidding. And TIL sugar is no bueno for chinchillas.
I hope that didn’t come across as attacking. It’s frustrating how much pet stores present incorrectly and it ticks me off.
For what it’s worth, proper food etc pays off with these guys. According to some of the chain markets near me (PetSmart and Petco) they can live up to 15 years.
I have 2 that are 19 and 20.
