It’s just to make OP feel smart. A single driven axle with an open differential with one wheel on more slippery ground than the other would result in only one wheel transferring torque.

Yep, I usually print drafts in normal PLA and only the final part in the high temp stuff, but 2.5x is often still better than buying something if there’s even a solution available. So, fine for me in edge cases.
I’ve always got a spool of high temperature PLA for that, good for up to 140°C.

Nah, I’m living outside the US, my home is made from proper bricks and concrete. A bit slower to build but rather good when it comes to sound insulation. I could imagine with those strand board walls that might be a problem though.

I’ve found that the only thing you can hear through a closed basement door are noisy high speed fans, e.g. from used 19" servers, disks produce much less noise.
Yes, but Nextcloud is being offered as a hosted service by various Providers. Not everybody even here wants to or can run their own services.
