There’s at least one in my city, he looked like an all black Masterchief weaving between dense traffic going uphill, I was pretty amazed. The most sci fi looking method of travel I’ve seen.

7·2 months agoThey aren’t Nazis just for contrarianisms sake, a large portion of the right wing in the US is inspired by and wants to emulate the Nazis and agree with their racist worldview. A lot of the people trolling and posting ironic racist stuff were just being edgy at some point, but many of them do agree with the things and just troll/joke as a cover.
I gave you the data, as they say “facts don’t care about your feelings.”
The trend has continued steadily since then, and furthermore,
Bier wrote in November that his work showed the Biden administration “has removed a higher percentage of arrested border crossers in its first two years than the Trump DHS did over its last two years. Moreover, migrants were more likely to be released after a border arrest under President Trump than under President Biden.”
https://www.factcheck.org/2024/02/breaking-down-the-immigration-figures/
This is from 2024, the DHS spokesperson at the time:
“Under this Administration, the estimated annual apprehension rate has averaged 78%, identical to the rate of the prior Administration.”
The idea Biden opened the borders is thoroughly debunked. Like I said you’re the one telling me a bunch of bullshit so it’s on you to disprove reality, I don’t care enough to spoonfeed you the facts.
This took 30 seconds to find

Visa overstays have outnumbered people who enter the country illegally at the Southern border every year since 2007, according to a report by the Center for Migration Studies. The report’s authors estimate that the number of total visa overstays was 600,000 more than the total number of border crossers and that in 2014, visa overstays accounted for two-thirds of all new undocumented immigrants.
This article has the most recent data I could find but if you look at the sources you can probably find better info. You’re welcome to prove me wrong.

20·6 months agoI don’t know a lot of people that use dating apps but in my anecdotal experience all the male friends I know that use them are actually looking for a good long-term relationship. But you’re probably right that they are a minority.

47·6 months agoIt’s an especially insidious type of monopoly to me because it deals with relationships, they can manipulate millions of people, affecting the creation of their families and kids.
You’re free to go look at the statistics easily found, I’m not gonna do your homework for you. Were you at the border?
“Improper entry” through illegally crossing a border is a crime, but the majority of undocumented immigrants in the US don’t enter that way. “Unlawful presence” after a visa expires or is denied receives civil penalties rather than criminal, meaning they can’t lead to imprisonment but only fines or a court action like deportation.

Actually it’s a civil offense akin to a parking ticket which is separate from criminal charges.
You call yourself freedomadvocate yet you advocate for the destruction of freedom, interesting.
True, free to die of preventable illness, starvation or exposure after being kicked out of the alley they were sleeping in for the 5th time in a month. No one is free under this economic system.
It’s difficult to comprehend just how much more wealthy a billionaire is. If you spent $10 every ten minutes, it would take you about 70 days to go through $1 million. To reach a billion would take 190 years.

Technology@lemmy.world•In North Korea, your phone secretly takes screenshots every 5 minutes for government surveillanceEnglish
31·7 months agoNot the best sources, a phone smuggled by a South Korean-based organization that is funded by the US National Endowment for Democracy and reported by state owned BBC, both of which are enemies of NK, and nothing in this article is verifiable. I’m not saying this to promote anything about NK but just from a journalistic perspective this article doesn’t prove much.

35·7 months agoHas everyone forgotten about the NSA and their absurdly massive data centers? At least a portion of the US population likely has substantial data from their tech in a database we can’t access.
People are closer to being on the same page than they realize I believe, but true, everyone is afraid of making the first move. I’ve heard this idea said a number of times, “I would fight a revolution but I don’t want to lead it.” People are still clinging to establishment politics and parties, what we need is a group to unite people in opposition to the status quo economic and political system and be unafraid to take direct action against the apparatus of the state. A lot of people would be afraid to take these steps, but it doesn’t require everyone, enough dedicated revolutionaries can help lead the non-political masses.
No person does until the conditions force them. Many people in the US are still comfortable enough and have a lot to lose, but the time might come. At a certain point it becomes the easier choice.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it weird to juggle in the park?
14·7 months agoI walked through a park just a bit ago and there was a juggling group performing. There’s also a person in my city that hula hoops continuously while dancing all over downtown, often on rollerskates. It’s all a delight to see in our typical modern hell scape, even if they weren’t good at it, I enjoy people having fun.

What? No, being a Nazi is asking for it.
