Everyone gets this wrong. If you want to hide, hide inside your established patterns of life. You want to do shit across state line for a weekend? Don’t turn off your phone, have your friend carry it around while you are gone.

The thing which pop security types miss here is the need to blend in. Being a hole in the noise is like the worst thing you can do. Establish a pattern of life and you can use it to obfuscate your alternative activities. Understating how tracking works and using it to your advantage is 100x more useful than pretending like using a different app store or some random ROM is keeping you safe.

This is legit why I have like two male friends left tbh. After 2016 I stopped giving a fuck. The problem… or maybe the cause in a way… is that I’m an oddly assertive introvert so it’s very easy for me to end up in a situation where I’m doing nothing but going off on people and making drama.

It’s not 50% more though. I track my groceries closely going back almost ten years and it’s more like a 15% increase in staple items compared to 2018. Processed food, luxury meat and frozen food is like 30-60% higher (my data on this is less robust) but milk, eggs and bread is not 50% more expensive unless you are buying the most expensive options.

You can literally go look at commodity market price history. Wheat is 9% above 2018. Cheese is 6% higher. Milk +17%, rice +10%, eggs +12%.

Eggs at Aldi near me are legitimately not that much more expensive than $1.40. I think it was like $1.89 in store price for the cheapest ones. That’s why I don’t understand this whole thing. Eggs aren’t even that expensive. I feel like the whole country is collectively gaslighting me.
