I have no idea what i am talking about… But what would happen if you pulled a black tarp over the panel? Could even be automatic like the blends on a building. And even partial.

Everybody knew exactly what kilo mega and giga ment. when drive vendors deliberatly lied on there pdf’s about their drive sizes. Warnings were issued: this drive will not work in a raid as a replacement for same size!!. And everybody was throwing fumes on mailinglists about the bullshit situation.
But money won, as usual.
Source: threw fumes!

I had an ISA serial card sitting on a shelf next to my desk at work for 14 years. In the yearly clean up it was kept. 10 years after the last ISA machine had been in the office it was scrapped.
Not 2 days after the truck I had to order one exactly like it for a machine i did not know exsisted in a printing press i did not know at a customer… NEVER throw out anything!
Ohh looks slick. Bookmarking this for later ;) thanks!
Never got into consoles. My parents saw the utillity in a computer. And now i have 25 years in tech ;)

I do not remember the year. But i think we played dune and command and conquer. using null modem serial port links, and long homemade cables. I had a machine with 3 serial ports. A few years later we upgraded to a thin lan nic using coax and a hub with a coax port. For those with cat cable nic.
Played Red alert, red alert2 then a decade stright of playing CnC renegade and wolfenstein ET on the internet. Then the battlefields series ehile that was fun. Nowdays Helldivers 2 almost scratches that itch. It just needs a 32 player rush mode ;)
Total cookie protection can have site breakage, even for very casual users. And it is enabled by default. That beeing said it is easy to stop for a site. And quite rare. Total cookie protection is a very nice fix for the cookie tracking issue imho.
That they are miles better then the competition, does not mean there are no room for improvements.
Steam is the only store putting the customer first. The refund policy is top notch. Heck just making proton, giving gamers the choice of os, is the best thing for gamers since computers was invented!
Suicide assist is horrible. Around here there is no middle of the road separator, to narrow road. So it tries to hit head first the traffic in the opposite way.
Never been an issue for me debian+kde+steam it started right up the first time i tried. No tweaking needed.
It happens, and is somewhat common. So in what way is the practice a benefit for the corp? I doubt it is just bragging rights?
Calling hashing “mining” was probably the most stupid thing in bitcoin. Since it have nothing to do with minting new coins. It is tru that miners get a bonus in addition to the fees of the block when successful. But that bonus is reduced regularly and will eventually go away.
The power consumption used by hashing became quickly insane by companies chaseing a quick buck.

I was thinking the parasite class.
Ipv4 is not even ipv4 compatible. You use nat to translate one type of ipv4 into another to talk on the internet. Ipv6 is using nat in the same way.
The problem is that ipv4 is not forward compatible ( naturally ). So ipv6 can talk to both, ipv4 only to ipv4.
