Oh that’s true! The Vulcans are pretty damn nice to humanity. I haven’t watched all the series; is there a point where humanity doesn’t trust the Vulcans?

Is there a scifi story where the aliens are actually benevolent? Could be funny; they are just genuinely kind but the human mind cannot grasp that and continues to distrust them.

Eh I don’t buy that, at least not as the primary goal. It’s more a side effect of the structure and resources of a class. When the classrooms were built to support 18 students per class, and the teacher’s union contract says they’ll have a max of 25 students per class, but in actuality they have 31 students per class, kids sharing desks and bumping elbows, yeah we kinda need all 31 of those kids to sit down and buckle up, or no one at all is going to get any learning done.
Is it the ideal learning environment for every student? Nope. Is it the ideal learning environment for any student? Probably not. But unless we’re willing to invest more in education, it’s what we’re working with.
I think they want kids to pay attention in class
I did not even know that was a thing. Maybe I’ll get it when my current one shits the bed in 8 months or so.
I wouldn’t be able to use the Ethernet though since the router is upstairs.
My only beef with Chromecast is I feel like they are designed to die after 2 years. I’ve gone through three now; it always seems like right around the 2-year mark, it starts having issues staying connected to the network. But I keep buying them because, like you said, it’s basically the ideal smart device.
And YouTube. And Facebook. And Reels.
