4·1 month agoSometimes things aren’t obvious unless you already have the knowledge. If an AI tool tells a young person cleaning their first apartment to combine household cleaners, are they stupid for doing so? Maybe. They may not have the experience to know. Stupid people deserve to live free from harm too, and we’re all a little stupid.

it’s actually remarkably easy to install and remove if you dont want it. Last time I used asahi it was cool but not ready for daily use. The m3 is a powerful little chip. I’d use that machine as my daily driver laptop whenever I needed it. Can do coding, music stuff, video editing, etc. I can do all that on my m1 pro, even!

This isn’t true as I was mistaken. The gap apparently is 1 cent when adjusting for positions. I think this is an overly simplistic view which unduly shifts the blame to women, when in fact society and our economic systems push women towards particular jobs (or motherhood) and compensates far less.

I think there’s a bit of both: poorly optimized/antiquated sites and a gigantic spike in unexpected and persistent bot traffic. The typical mitigations do not work anymore.
Not every site is and not every site should have to be optimized for hundreds of thousands of requests every day or more. Just because they can be doesn’t mean that it’s worth the time effort or cost.
