PeerTube is really P2P?
Ok, I could have figured because of the name. Now I feel like an idiot…

Maybe we should start mirroring to a federated service
Just some time ago, I was thinking about some P2P Video service, where everyone would provide the data they have - so like a BitTorrent YouTube
But I’m not sure if that would be viable
I think that would be the death of the platform
I’m even wondering how people can use it as it is without ad blockers or clients like newpipe
Every time I use it on not-my-device I’m losing my nerves, because I have to watch at least 2 ads for a 1min video, when I want to show someone something
And all of us use Linux, while wearing UNIX socks
Yeah, an ex of mine told me the story of a “friend”, who put a tent up on a festival with a sign reading “long haired men fuck for free”
There was a fucking line outside the tent
So yeah, why not, if it’s consensual.
Still, the hygienics are probably questionable…
I’m also happily running Manjaro on my new Framework 16.
Even the fingerprint sensor works fine - although I’ll still need to tune LightDM a bit, so I don’t have to press enter.
Do you have any tips what you have done further or any resources?
At first the WiFi wasn’t working and is still a bit unstable - like isn’t available as interface after booting and I need to toggle flight mode.
But it seems a newer kernel (6.10.6-10) mostly fixed it.
Also sometimes coreboot seems to take some time. But only every 10 boots or something.
Those USB adapters always seem to damage the USB port (or their side of it breaks) when I put the phone in my pocket.
Tried several of them, because I have some expensive headphone pairs. I even tried to use a Bluetooth thingie with a jack, but having a second device to charge wasn’t really convenient as well…
Well, luckily all just had a talk and some tea about it and nobody died
I own the apartment and even a parking place, that’s my own. but just doing the cableing will cost me a few thousand Euros.
And I’m one of the lucky ones who don’t need to search through public parking slots.
Not everyone has a house…
I’m living in an apartment and charging at home is not an option. I do have a EV though and when we take a larger trip, I need to plan a bit more to charge up before the trip.
That sucks a bit, else it’s pretty great
Lights in shoes that blink at each step were all the hype in my childhood
Isn’t spraying with poison the more cruel way to kill it?
Either it will die during an immediate fight for life or bring the poison to the nest, where all of them slowly die.
Microsoft has built a number of safety features into Windows Recall to ensure that the service can’t run secretly in the background. When Windows Recall is enabled, it places a permanent visual indicator icon on the Taskbar to let the user know that Windows Recall is capturing data. This icon cannot be hidden or moved.
Oh my, that one is really cute
In Austria we usually also speak about monthly payments
Probably because shorter videos get more views
But I’m only guessing…
