I need to set my volume over 22% or so so that I get any sound at startup or when plugging my speakers in, then I can lower the volume again.

that’s more of a 301(moved permanently)
yeah, just that I like the protocol design better. also GPG isn’t that great, so maybe sending files encrypted with ssh or age(or lxmf uri messages)
Int32@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Privacy@lemmy.ml•EFF Statement on ICE Use of Paragon Solutions Malware1·3 days agoI agree that with linux, once you’re in, you’re in. there is virtualization but that’s annoying and slow, or ig you could not use internet(pretty much impossible) or very strict firewall rules, and then use some kind of proxy but that would not be a problem if it were hacked, and would resend the data but maybe fromna reader mode, which you could display with a minimalist browser.
Int32@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Privacy@lemmy.ml•EFF Statement on ICE Use of Paragon Solutions Malware1·3 days agoI doubt openbsd supports the fp4, or even the pinephone.
that’s why I said ‘ideal’…
yeah, the solution is to use a provider which is not a company.
they really did do this to lsblk? too bad I use Artix :)
SS is a weird name but ok.

POP is better than IMAP, the emails get deleted from the servers.
the thing with proton is you don’t really know that they’re private and they pretty much always collaborate with the police and their android vpn app collects some data that it doesn’t need to. I would suggest you:
- don’t use email, that’s the ideal solution
- use a provider like cock.li and send messages encrypted with pgp. this isn’t ideal, pgp leaks a lot of data and cock.li gets sinkholed by most email providers.
- use proton and encrypt emails with pgp, you have not much privacy but it’s less worse than microsoft and not much convenience loss, except that proton doesn’t allow email clients(at least if you don’t pay), I don’t know about ms).

you can, but you have to install fish, would be better if it was a default or standalone package.

I like XMPP, but there’s also LXMF(a bit more experimental, only for ‘advanced’ users) or simply signal or simplex.
maybe it was a 200 with an html meta redirect, and the cat didn’t support html :(
