I have nightmares where the borrow checker is shouting at me incomprehensibly about the literal bugs and I shoot them with the clone laser and the borrow checker stops shouting for ten seconds, but now there are two bugs for each original bug and Tim Berners Lee floats by saying it’s not very idiomatic and I shouldn’t expect to get to work on time if I just keep stopping along the journey to spend all my time cloning the bugs.

I remember solaris. It’s not Linux, but it’s definitely posix compliant.

…or mint. Mint is good. It’s based on Ubuntu, but greener and less commercial. Also less orange. And it’ll feel moderately familiar without being even slightly the same.

Well, the corporations have freedom.

In the nineties it produced the cleanest .rtf output of all the editors. Word makes toxic .rtf that unnecessarily turns formatting off and on at every line break and elsewhere too.

If it weren’t for wordpad I wouldn’t have learned how to output .rtf from my code.

RIP WordPad.

This was me. A few months ago, I threw out a cable I thought was for a 20 year old flipphone that I’ll never use again, but it was a charger for something else and I wanted it last week for a relative. Sorry, I didn’t mean to cause offence at all, I just assumed that in a poly relationships the boundaries were open for negotiation, and that like you say open communication would be key. I didn’t know he went behind her back, I know nothing about this story other than what I read on this thread.

I get that in a conventional relationship, leaving someone for their best friend or their sibling would be a particularly heinous betrayal, but didn’t assume that that would be the same for someone in a poly relationship. I didn’t mean to offend anyone by asking and I apologise for any and all offence caused.

If he’s poly and and she’s poly and everyone knew everything, is it still awful of him to have sex with her sister? Seems like it’s OK if it’s OK with everyone, even if other people find it gross?
