I was going to say, it’s starting to sound more like the EU is just taking kickbacks in a circuitous legal manner rather than via a shady under the table deal with men and trench coats exchanging packages of unmarked bills.

If you really want to make a message that sticks, you ban the danger sites from operating in your collective and then fine them for their past misdeeds.

If you want to be seen as lenient, you then set down a list of objectives that the site must adhere to in order to be reinstated in the collective.

Anything short of that is just lining your pockets. I mean, what is the money being used for?

Remember, the rule is “Embrace, Extend, Extinguish”.

I used it for a while. It honestly was a really good browser for a long time but since everything started going this shit it quickly fell from my good graces.

I do want to add to that very quickly that I do not believe that this stupidity is tied to IQ.

My sister has an IQ in the 160 to 180 range and she’s the dumbest motherfucker I’ve ever met in my entire life. She is sadistic and enjoys destroying happiness and joy and anything that she can get her hands on while she herself has accomplished nothing and done nothing with her life. She’s willfully and intelligently stupid, so don’t assume that just because somebody is smart that they are not stupid.

If I had to categorize myself I would say that I am a pragmatic idealist.

I have a concept of a world where people tend to work together and generally operate in methods and manners that are mutually beneficial for the betterment of all.

That idealism is tempered by my pragmatic understanding that stupidity is praised and given friendships and social connections because no matter how many smart people there are the stupid people will always outnumber them.

And the stupid people don’t know that they are stupid.

So you cannot pretend that things will work out the way you think they will because no matter how stupid you think the people are around you they are far more stupid than that.

They will destroy you and themselves just to prove to you that being smart and capable is not enough to succeed in the world.

They will do horrendous things to you in order to prove to you that people do horrendous things to people.

And they truly in their heart of hearts and soul of souls before the Lord God Almighty believe they are doing the right thing when they do it.

My politics are left but my optimism is non-existent.

My solution for this is if you absolutely cannot bypass the connect Network to set up function, set up a hotspot on your phone. Let it download it’s you know what 150 MB update and then turn off your Wi-Fi hotspot

I have a friend on the spectrum and he knows almost every single '80s B and C grade horror flick ever released on VHS by heart.

He has turned me on to some really interesting and freaky movies.

My mom has this belief that there is a high comedy in taking two unrelated things and putting them into the same sentence.

Shitty example: “She Ichabod my Crane until I jack-o’-lantern”

The humor of the sentence comes from the person who is listening to you attempting to connect the two parts, and you getting to watch them draw the line.

This happens because people notice patterns and in a conversation it is the listener’s job to understand what the speaker is saying.

And this is well and good for the most part but because we have that tendency it’s easy to make horrible mistakes that we have a very difficult time disbelieving because we came to the conclusions ourselves.

Best case you end up like the no soap radio joke. Worst case, you end up in some sort of like weird Armageddon apocalypse right-wing conspiracy nut group talking about your weird imaginations with other people who also do not have a reality filter on their own imaginations.
