Fun fact: you can use cat image.iso > /dev/device
and it (should) just works.
It isn’t, but you’re unlikely to encounter Linux specific malware.
You could’ve told him your local IP (192.168.(1…255).(1…255)), is completely useless outside your home network but looks real enough.
