  • That would be FANTASTIC, I don’t know if you mean state house or federal, either way, imagine if every election there were more leftist/progressive candidates running than unopposed conservatives? I say this ALL THE TIME, that you can make a much bigger impact on your country by being more involved with politics, not less.

Learn who’s running in your town, your county, your state, get to know your neighborhood, find out what people are thinking about, talking about, who they trust and not, just gather information and get practice being social and making friends. You can do so much to ensure that the people who prop up the foundations of our federal systems are people who actually represent us.

  • This is what I wish more people on the left understood, that they are GIVING us their vulnerabilities every time they open their mouth and we’re ignoring every opportunity.

I can cite so many examples of this. Like, you can literally just call them the thing they hate and it will set them off to a degree that I think would startle most non-conservatives.

It’s because to normal, well-adjusted, adult humans, being called a “cuck” by a stranger is just funny, it’s like being “booed” by a stranger, it’s more weird than anything personal or offensive. But the reason he’s using that word against you is because he himself is deeply, profoundly sensitive to the word and all it implies.

They get massively triggered by specific words, and the left is always overthinking it, trying to come up with “smart” ways to fight and debate. When all you have to do is call them “weak sissies with no chin too dumb to know how voting works” and you will make their faces melt in rage, they will literally think about it all day. It doesn’t even matter if it’s accurate, and it certainly doesn’t matter if someone on “your side” thinks it’s problematic to use gendered slurs or ableism. It’s time to start twisting the knives out there.

  • Go further than that, tell them they’re mindless sheep, that they’re cucks to the ruling class, that they fall in line to whoever makes them feel good and don’t have an independant bone in their body. Remind them that Trump had 4 years with full control and accomplished zero of his promises, and that they’re idiots for falling for the same trick. Remind them that they’re the loud, stupid, obnoxious ones who have to be placated by the world or they throw a tantrum. Tell them when Trump dies nobody will remember the people who supported him and nobody will help his followers when they’re in trouble.

Seriously, we have to take gloves off and find ways to hurt them on a deeply personal level. Because we should have been doing this from the start. Because it’s all they really understand.

The difference is, I support people to have any kind of sexuality or gender or life or love that they want, I actively want them to have those rights.

But I don’t hang those flags all over my car, my yard, my clothes, my pets, etc. Maybe a few people do here and there, but I don’t feel so threatened in my values that I need to constantly reaffirm it and display it to the world. Most people feel this way, even though the majority of Americans support these rights.

This is why you see far, far more Trump propaganda than ANY kinds of special awareness flags. Which are totally different anyway. One supports an idea. One worships a man who wants to police ideas.

  • Because they have successfully lied and manipulated their current marketing material to make a sizeable portion of the population believe some kind of technological rapture is imminent, and that all we need is to invest, invest invest in AI tech. It’s a full-on cult now. The people they have roped in are fanatical, unpaid marketing mobs who don’t sleep, don’t waver, and can’t be reasoned with. They are the engine that is driving the hype train.

They had a legit, non-satirical post on reddit the other day making their plans for what they’re going to do when Artificial Superintelligence comes and changes the world and makes every human rich and immortal without the need to work. I am not even exaggerating, this is what they believe and there are probably millions of them.

Currently over 80% of AI startups fail, and the remaining ones are often bought up by larger companies trying to control intellectual property and future patents. And we have ZERO useful models in our hands. I still don’t use my copilot app for anything other than setting a 30-minute timer for my lunch break. I tried to activate an AI helper on Adobe to see if it could help my productivity. The thing can’t read graphs and charts and has zero contextual awareness and can’t do math. WTF GOOD IS IT?

  • These days?

Internet is a reflection of human nature, we’ve been doing this for millenia, we can just access specific bubbles of groupthink far faster and more efficiently than ever before. The internet has been like this since people first started typing their thoughts and opinions where other connected people could see them.

Our problem isn’t groupthink and bubbles of circle-jerking, our problem is our lack of attention-span and lack of patience, qualities that used to let us communicate and compromise with each other, now we’re all too brain-rotted to even form romantic relationships, too drained to try to even engage with people who don’t think the same way.

It’s fine that communities circle-jerk, sometimes those even become wildly successful movements in society. What’s not fine is we’re all so used to fucking scrolling that we don’t make effort past that circle-jerking anymore.

  • My ban was for quoting someone who said a slur so they couldn’t edit their comment after I reported it, and I said as much in my report.

It’s the moderators, they are dumb as fuck because there’s no consequence because they’re all volunteers. The only thing stupider than the volunteer mods who don’t demand pay, are the people who get hung up on what moderators are doing or not. We should have all stopped taking reddit so seriously a long, long time ago. Protests? Jesus christ, a reddit protest does as much real-world good as a kindergarten protest by the children mad that they can’t get more cookies.

  • Nobody is going to quit, all mod roles can be replaced in minutes with people excited to do it. If they have to, they can pay them even and make them official employees and never have to worry about protests again.

Also, who cares, the site has a clock over it, in a few years most users will be bots and children and all content will be farmed slop akin to youtube.

Furthermore, if anyone thinks that “protests” on reddit accomplish ANYTHING that person is a literal child, or someone else who shouldn’t be trusted to operate heavy machinery.

Whatever high ideals we had for reddit a decade ago are long-since dead and buried and that’s fine, instead of whinging about what we lost we should be trying to figure out what to build next to maintain some semblance of an internet in an age of AI slop.

  • If subscribing and paying for services actually guaranteed ad-free, useful and complete experiences, then yes I would gladly pay. When iTunes made buying songs for a dollar easy, I paid hundreds of dollars for them, because it gave me exactly what I wanted at a fair price.

Now, when you sign up for a service, you’re still getting ads, you’re still getting paywalls around the movies and shows you really want to watch, you’re still getting your data mined and sold. You’re still paying more than you would have paid for premium, ad-free cable TV back in the old days.

It’s useless. I want to pay for good experiences and services, but they ain’t offering it.
