It has its ups and downs. I actually enjoyed the Miami vice season and the 2 after, though they’re admittedly weaker. Then there’s 3 … odd seasons. Once that concludes it basically goes back to normal and is worth watching. Not nearly as strong as before but it’s still pretty funny

Abruptly cancelled at the end of season 14, talks of a revival are happening but tbd
abysmalpoptart@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do people care so much that their friend or family member’s partner is attractive and not just loving?4·1 month agoRespectfully going to disagree with you. I’m sure there exist both men and also women who will do this, but by no means is this the norm. I would argue the lion’s share of people need to at least be attracted to the other person in some way before pursuing any level of physical intimacy.
I mentioned it above, but i think you should check out “campfire cooking in a strange world with my unique skill.” There’s some monster violence but no people get hurt, for what that’s worth. Overall, thematically, it’s very light and comedic. There might be a few curse words but nothing crazy i don’t think…
i wasn’t watching it with the lens of how it would be for children so your mileage may vary, but it was very light-hearted and silly.
I feel like campfire cooking would fall into this as well
I literally made myself a fresh cup of coffee and also a fresh cup of tea this morning. No ragrets
Probably meant to say “bolted”
abysmalpoptart@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•I still don’t think companies serve you ads based on spying through your microphoneEnglish5·6 months agoWhile i understand and agree with the premise, i think it’s lacking context. It is quite disturbing to have an obscure conversation (you know, we’ve never been to tahiti), and suddenly you’re getting banner ads or sponsored results about trips to tahiti.
This is absolutely a thing that happens. It happens to my wife frequently (the amount of times i hear giggling, i was just talking about that! Now I’ve got an ad! What a coincidence!), but i disabled all my google permissions (outside of location for maps), so it doesn’t seem to happen to me at all.
I don’t think every company does this, but some do. I also had to uninstall WhatsApp because my microphone usage was up while i was sleeping. That was quite concerning to discover. Whatsapp claims it’s a bug, but I’m not sure about that.
After a long coffee journey, i gave my keurig away for free after i landed on my chemex. Absolutely love it! Unfortunately my 12 cup broke in the washing machine after 8 years or so :( i just bought a new one and I’m unsurprisingly still very happy with it.

Not correcting you, just adding a little clarification for how i read it
Again, that’s added context. I don’t know how feeling like a man is stopping a women from anything. I don’t think that’s a necessary component of the statement at all, though i appreciate the reply
Whatever makes them happy I guess?
I think that’s one possible explanation, but it’s vague enough that it could be other things too.
I’m not sure how i feel about the post altogether. I mean, i understand that toxic masculinity is bad, but this post needs some assumptions and context to make me want to side with it. For example, if I saw some guy just kinda minding his business doing silly guy stuff and the context was he wants to “feel like a man,” i don’t think i would be offended or concerned?
r/justguysbeingdudes comes to mind
I hope you are able to outrun it one day. Or even perhaps out smart it. Idk, I’ve never been on a hunt. I assume those would be ways to survive.
Good point, i totally misunderstood the “picture this” lead in. Yeah it’s a completely feasible situation though it does seem extreme.
abysmalpoptart@lemmy.worldtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•*Permanently Deleted*English71·10 months agoI don’t know how accurate this is. Every time i try googling this, i get multiple help forums (brand website, Microsoft help, reddit discussions) for how to troubleshoot, with no ads for new laptops. While i typically provide a more specific search (e.g. my laptop brand and model won’t boot), i tried googling “my laptop won’t turn on” and received similar, albeit less specific, suggestions.
I wonder if the original poster often searches for laptop prices to find deals and maybe it defaulted to that?
I was actually waiting for this one, well played
