It was all fun and games until your thrustmaster and your soundblaster and your modem hit an IRQ conflict.
Plug-and-play was a godsend for gamers.
i read it wrong, too!
Did y’all know you can’t dunk oreos in chocolate milk? Like you can but it doesn’t do anything to them they don’t get soft!
George R. R. Martin edited a terrific series called Wild Card that is really well grounded. The premise is an alien virus that gives people random mutations and some of them are horrific (the Jokers) but some get fantastic powers (the Aces).
It’s pretty gritty and ‘realistic’ like they really go deep into how the various powers would realistically affect people and be used.
I really liked it up until
one of the authors decided that ALL of the abilities and powers were all just forms of telekenesis , really sucked all the fun out of it!
interesting! probably water molecules collecting inside through micro cracks over the years, it’s the h2o molecules in food that act as the microwave susceptors
cold food hot bowl is a direct sign of not having good microwaveable dishes.
My in laws have this white corelle stuff that swears it’s microwave safe on the bottom but it gets hot as fuck when you reheat food. i don’t think it’s just because it’s thin either if you try to melt butter in it the dishes get very hot.
The glass bentgo containers i use for storing food seem to be completely invisible to the microwaves. You can get food bubbling hot and still grab the glass container to pull it out and it’s completely cool.
that is in fact the official lore on the lollipop, Sevalas was trying to quit the cigar habit.
