Doesn’t matter I’ve already preplanned the high five based on the information in the note and that is happening.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your BEST tech purchases?
1·21 days agoThe tv’s with really nice screen tech that is dumb usually costs more I find. Every time I go tv shopping I just end up getting angry about it and talk myself out of it again. I like some of the Hisense stuff but Samsung panels are really the best and the price reflects that.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What habit do you possess that seems very normal to you, but would seem odd to anyone else?
17·21 days agoI can’t leave the house without a shower even if it’s just a quick 5 minute trip to the gas station. The only exception I’m willing to make for this is if someone else is in some sort of harms way from nature or whatever.
Wake up late to the thing? I just won’t be doing the thing I guess or everyone will have to wait. That said, I’m good about not being in that situation and plan myself well for the sake of others as I recognize it’s a weird thing about me, not them.

8·1 month agohttps://internet.nl/ that tests a bunch of security related things and gives your server a score. Great for checking a few more boxes.
All my overnight grocery stores stopped being open past 10pm. It was only the expensive grocery store that was open all night but I felt it was worth paying.

39·1 month agoHomelab is so 2025. We’re all building EMF pulsing devices in 2026 in preparation of the redacted.
It’s rare enough to be a good band name.

It depends on the use case. I use teamgroup high capacity SSD drives for short load things on my homelab but they are super slow for any kind of extended writing due to a number of factors such as cache writes. I had to warranty two of 5 that died within a few weeks but it has been fine once the duds were replaced and they were easy about honoring the warranty.
Again, fine for a homelab but I wouldn’t use them in my gaming rig where speed matters. For things like readimg of stored video and Linux isos, they work pretty good.
