It’s absolutely phenomenal for gaming or vr “experiences” (basically movies made specifically for vr). But the corpos are really hellbent on making everyone use it for meetings for some fucking reason. Which is truly the lamest, most unnecessary use of this tech.

I will never understand why some guys think this won’t immediately make the woman they’re messaging hate them. Like, no one wants to be needlessly pestered.

Unless it can literally do all the cooking and clean the dishes, it ain’t worth it. I saw a video of one of these robot “chefs” where you had to preportion all the food into it, and then spend ages cleaning it out. At that point just make your own damn food.

In my experience, it’s often users who just want everything spoon fed to them like infants that think it’s hard.

From what I’ve seen, pretty much everyone from techies to the tech illiterate HATES AI Implementations. Yet corporations keep trying to shovel it down our throats. When are they going to admit no one wants this?

Well, being super smart in one field doesn’t necessarily mean you have common sense. You could be the greatest physicist in the world but still think lizard people control everything.

Dating apps are terrible because they don’t want you to actually find a good partner. If you find a good partner, you have no need for the dating app anymore. So they’ll match you with people that’ll peak your interest, but ultimately won’t work out.

Obviously there’s more to it than just that, but this is a big part of the problem.

Yeah. Like the old adage of whoever seeks power is least deserving of it. It’s a difficult thing to combat.

I used to be so excited for self driving cars, but my naive younger self assumed they’d actually make sure they’re safe before putting them on public roads.

I was wrong.

I think most humans aren’t like that, it’s just that the ones that are have managed to structure society to reward their behavior. We need to get these vile, greed driven ghouls, out of positions of power to get anywhere.

It’s almost like any new technology starts out with problems that get solved through time, money, and resources.

A noble sentiment, but I think I’m being realistic when I say change on that scale simply isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Things are bad, but not bad enough you’re going to get a protest big enough to bring change going.

I wish it wasn’t this way, but the stacks been getting stacked against us for too long now.
