Yea, that’s part of why I don’t know for sure if they make cars the way the guy at the top of this thread is describing.

Can’t speak to “required.” But I know it used to be done.
I think what he wants is the front turn signal to wrap around the front, so I can see the left signal from the right quarter.
I’m not aware that this is not the case, but I don’t know that I would have noticed if it was not.
The cultural relationship with time is more important than its absolute measurement.
This was the statement at the top of this discussion. It values the local concept of what time should be over an objective measurement of what time is.
The proposed change wouldn’t cause much of a problem. But the idea under the statement I quoted would.
that is such a small edge case that it’s not necessary to talk about them
Did you manage to overlook this point?
In general, stay out of the ducking way.
I mean we as a group. Some of us will, but they will be decried by the rest of us. Too much, too far, too soon.
If we could all get on the same page, that would be one thing. But it’s like unions, isn’t it? Once man stopping work is just quitting. The whole factory stopping work is industrial action.
kind of my point. Trains need accurately measured time in order to run properly.
Tell that to the trains.
Your last point is wrong, at least as you have stated it. Evaporation time is based on surface area, and the required power is based on volume, but you expressed the amount of water as a length.
Still, metric is way better.
I don’t think we have the stomach to pull that off.
I’d love to be wrong, though.
Everybody isn’t going to lose. All of us will, but the rich assholes are gonna win.
Interesting. Good to know.
Ah, interesting. Good to know.
Interesting.
Not the answer I’m looking for, but still interesting. Thanks for the information!
So, a moment of curiosity.
If my theoretical pistol did get pulled into am MRI machine, stuck against it by the magnet, and I, for the purpose of scientific inquiry, pulled the trigger, should I expect the bullet to fire more or less as normal, to fire, but the bullet be pulled back to the machine, or for the bullet to not move, or not move more than an inch or so from the barrel?
Tenth Amendment, might apply here.
when it quits bring entertaining.
It’s utility for the original purpose, communication without limits, (or checking for coffee) is being diminished, and at some point, ill stop using it for that. But as long as there are jokes and titties, it will still be a source of entertainment.
Did any of the passengers on those 7,000 flights get any compensation? Or just a “so sorry, out of our control?”
Looks like delta tried to dismiss the passengers claims, but they are being sued for it.
My loyalty is for sale.
