The issue here was fully on the AUR’s PKGBUILDs. No upstream code involved.

It can be both. But in this case I see they reuse system libraries, which goes against the idea of ending dependency hell. Apart from that, I don’t see any advantage with respect to snap or flatpak.

Why do you need a fediverse for this? The issue with the media isn’t where to host things, it’s how to pay your writers.

Tried it for a bit, seems to be Arch-based, but pacman wasn’t installed. And it’s very much an alpha.

Also, there’s a warning if you don’t have 40GB free. That hurt.

Not that I know of, but here are some between Lemmy and Mastodon:

• Upvotes in Lemmy don’t translate to favorites in Mastodon
• From the Mastodon side communities are normal accounts that boost published posts.
• From Mastodon Lemmy’s posts are top-level messages (i.e. not a response), and comments are responses to the original message.
• You can post to a Lemmy community from Mastodon by publishing a post and tagging the community (@community_name@server.tld)
