Yah know, I got laid off in 2014 and it still hurts a little.
I haven’t had windows for 5 or 6 years when I switched to Mac. But earlier this year I bought a cheap Windows 11 machine because Windows was required for a contract I thought I was going to get (but didn’t). I was going to return it but thought meh it might be nice to have a personal laptop I can play around with. But I was unimpressed with Windows 11 so much that it mostly gathers dust now.
I’m thinking this is the perfect opportunity to take the plunge into Linux. Has anyone on here used Linux and have any advice?
This is probably intended to be tongue-in-cheek, but meal planning is the answer. Block off some time (Sunday evenings are popular), to figure out all your meals for the week, make a list of everything you need to make all the dishes on the menu, go to the store and buy all that stuff and nothing else, make ahead and freeze any meals that you can and do any prep work ahead of time that you can.
Viola: intentional eating, less waste, and always something on hand to eat.
It changed my life in a lot of positive ways.
The men where I live don’t seem to buy into the idea of toxic masculinity. They’re fashion conscious, spend a lot of time on their hair and if they don’t carry a “man bag” per se, then they’re likely to at least be spotted holding their GF’s purse. A lot of guys do cardio, not a lot do bodybuilding. Most men ride Vespa scooters and cars with fart cannon mufflers are not unheard of, but vanishingly rare. Gigantic pickup trucks are nonexistent.
But even here the most popular men’s body wash variety is “charcoal.” 😂
Yeah, but some things are. It’s like, things are either a binary choice or they’re not. Whoa 🤯
Same. I will die on this hill. Vertical video sucks!
We used to do that in my generation, but it was just called getting laid off. 😂
