If there’s one thing I’ve always been wary of, it’s the password manager browser extensions. And I’ve been proven right. Don’t be lazy, it takes 30 extra seconds to do it manually.
Pishing detection is nice though, I’ll admit.
If you use aliases for all services, it makes it slightly harder to automate trying one leaked email on another site, since the hacker needs to add the new alias on the other service.
No one is going through of all these credentials manually, so any extra obscurity can actually bring you security in a pinch. Although if you have different passwords this shouldn’t matter much…

2·1 month agoThis often comes with the *-dev version of the dependency. The normal one contains the binaries, the dev version includes headers and often the FindPackage

Birthrates lower partially thanks to higher standard of living, which are not sustainable for 7+ billions people.
Not that I think LLMs are going to help in any way, but every time someone mentions overpopulation, all the counter arguments I see are loads of anti system rhetoric with nothing to show for it.

2·2 months agoAssuming you run Synapse, that uses more than 1.5GB RAM just idling, your system has at the very least 16GB of RAM… Hardly what I’d call “very tiny”
It doesn’t mitigate anything when it pops every single time. Microsoft on its own has rendered scary messages useless with how often they use them.
You sound like the type of people OC is being confused with.
