Calling a fascist a fascist is no more name calling than calling a Canadian a Canadian. Calling someone you don’t agree with or whose opinion you are trying to devalue a snowflake is childish name calling.

I came here to say this. So many use, “cis” as though it’s a slur then demand support from the people they are throwing the slur at. I’ve been an ally my entire life but I’ve been labeled a transphobe twice over the last several months because I expressed a belief that wasn’t a full throated endorsement of the extremist dogma.

Just look at the TPP. The US tried to write the rules and the rest of the partners said, “No.” The US said, “Screw you guys, we’re going home!” and stormed off in a snit assuming the deal would fall apart without them but it didn’t and it ended up being better without the US imperialist bullshit. Then, US farmers realized that they were getting fucked because the US wasn’t part of the deal ([1], [2], [3]) and the US came back demanding to be let in and the US imperialist bullshit restored to the agreement. Once again the partnerd said, “No”.

Let’s let the US leave whatever they want to leave, renegotiate everything without them, then only let them return under the new terms. The world will be a much better place in the end.

EDIT: Trump ordered the US to withdraw from the TPP because the partners wouldn’t be bullied into accepting one-sided andi-competitive, anti-consumer protections for US industry and a dispute resolution process that favoured the US but that the US would ignore when it lost.

Not only do US companies pay the tariff but they pass it on to their customers and other countries put counter tarrifs on US products.

That is not a definition of communism. It is a reduction based on the definition. It is also perfectly representative of every modern communist regime.

Modern Libertariansm is ridiculous. Libertarianism is far better aligned with socialism (where the people do the work and most of the the benefit stays with the people) than it is with either communism (where the people do the work and most of the benefit goes to the government/plutocrats) or capitalism (where the people do the work and most of the benefit goes to the wealthy/oligarchs.) Modern Libertarians are extremist right wing capitalist stooges.

The biggest danger to US democracy is not Donald Trump or the Project 2025 christofascists, it’s the crushing ignorance of the US population. The gutting of the public education system means that many if not most Americans don’t understand that, “fascist” isn’t just a name like, “poopie head” that you call someone. It has a definition and clearly defined policies/behaviours that closely align with Trump/Vance/Johnston and their enablers. Communist and Marxist are very clearly defined things. Harris/Walz are pro business which means they are definitely NOT communists or Marxists.

If the US population were better educated and more knowledgable they would dump these Retrumplican clowns and rebuild the Republican party from scratch.

Because that’s how science works? Cats are obligate carnivores. They require a diet of meat. If you are insisting that a diet without meat can satisfy the needs of an obligate carnivores then it is up to you to prove that it is with a large, well designed study that is published, peer reviewed, and repeatable.

That is what the admin was saying. You can’t use the claims in a book written by a vegan activist who was confirming his own bias at proof. That isn’t proof. It isn’t up to science to prove you wrong. Itis up to you to prove you right.
