It’s more like all pretense is gone now. Before, there was this veneer of legitimacy. Now, it’s straight up fascism. It’s a matter of image projection.

I used to run VM’s in parallel for my job, which eat RAM like candy. Other than that though, I’ve never had a use case for more than 32GB RAM.

Canceled my sub as a means of protest. I used it for research and testing purposes and 20$ wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s simply ragebait. It’s a global phenomenon but I’d say Reddit embraced it as their primary feature, even more so than gd Facebook.

I’m not immune to it either, though my brand of ragebait is more in the /collapse and /antiwork spheres.
