Incidentally I just installed a new laptop that came with windows yesterday and damn, windows 11 sucks.
First you have to find a workaround to install without a MS account, then the default Bing search tells you to install Opera when you search for Firefox, I can’t find any settings (everything is a regedit hack now) and then I found a debloat script that claims it disabled Recall. So yeah it can be disabled (for now).
But only on weekends when dialing in was cheaper.
It’s not that easy when those people are your parents
I still feel I need to hide when I am interested in something. Am I not the only one?
Sure, but isn’t the principle more important to Americans that your tax money should not be used to help others? Paying a premium to privatized health care doesn’t matter too much, they’re already rich. Having immigrants, homeless, sick people etc be beneficiaries would be “unfair”.
Reminds me of when I joined some classmates to the supermarket. We got kicked out while waiting in line because they didn’t want middleschoolers there because we’re all thieves anyways. So most of the group walked out without paying.
It was interesting how random people came to talk to you and were really trying to get to know you. I don’t think that would work in modern day internet.
I knew they were around because at times I randomly remembered my ICQ number and I tried logging in, but they won’t let you if you forgot your password.
I used to rely on news feeds through Firefox until they suddenly removed this feature. I switched to an RSS reader but around the same time, a lot of websites started dropping their RSS feeds. I’m out of the loop of why this happened and it’s probably one reason I feel so bored being online nowadays
I hate those long distance busses. If you sit up straight, the headrest is in your back. If you slouch down to get your head at the headrest so you can get some rest, the question becomes where to put your legs without pain and discomfort.
