From what I’ve heard, steam does not charge for the generation of steam keys. So every steam key sold off platform is a loss of sales for them. Restricting the price of keys sounds perfectly reasonable in this case.

That feature isn’t built into YT? I have it set on my browser to where the video needs to be manually started (excluding playlists).
I hit that point, needed to add a few things and changed settings around, and everything broke. I tinker with little things way too much to use Nix.

5·1 month agoUblock Origin is the only mandatory extension i can think of.
Some other extensions I personally use are:
Gesturefy is useful if you want to control things with mouse gestures (holding right-click and then drawing a shape to activate commands)
NoScript for a little added security, with the cost of having to manually enable javascript on websites that literally can’t function without it.
Any extension that runs userscripts.
Dark Reader for websites that don’t offer a dark mode.
I prefer wired accessories. They don’t need to be charged, and I don’t have to worry about them having connection issues.
Piratebay is still around, but it lacks good moderation. I’ve heard that it’s still fine to use for non-executable files such as media.
Is this armpit?
This comment made me realize I haven’t installed thefuck on my most recent linux installation. I have evolved past the point of making common mistakes.
A medieval peasant would be wishing they could est like this.
I thought has was spelled with a z. Am I misremembering it, or am I thinking of the variants that came after?
I at least have a valid reason for being grumpy. Trying to get sleep was almost impossible with neighbors lighting off fireworks throughout the whole game, and even slightly before it too.

7·2 months agoHere are my recommendations then:
CrossCode is a personal favorite of mine. An action RPG heavily inspired by retro games.
Library of Ruina is a great non-roguelike deckbuilder. Technically it’s a sequel, but it’s not necessary to know anything about Lobotomy Corporation to get the full enjoyment of its story. At most you can just look up LC’s true ending if you aren’t interested in brutally hard management sims.
Tactical Breach Wizards is a really intertesting mix between a turn-based tactical game and a puzzle game.

2·2 months agoIt actually is now. Both EndeavourOS and CachyOs have installers that set a good baseline to build off of.

1·2 months agoThat argument is stupid for anyone who understands how games utilize DRM and DLC. As long as DRM is not involved, there is literally nothing stopping you from getting the DLC from somewhere else. Things are slightly trickier with DRM, but not impossible.

2·2 months agoIf I’m remembering correctly, price parity only applies to keys sold off platform, rather than the game itself because they don’t profit from the keys being generated.
We currently don’t hold people/corporations accountable either, so I don’t see much of a difference in what we put in charge.
Beliefs are a double edged sword. The US would have never had civil rights movements if they were stopped completely for having “problematic” beliefs.

DRM-free games exist on steam. It’s up to the publisher if they want DRM, not Valve.
