Unsticking a ball that’s been stuck against your inner thigh.

I’m really not sure about Australia. If you live up north you barely ever even wear shoes.if you live on a farm you better kick off those filthy gummies before you step in the house. If you’re a tradie, you’d better kick off those filthy Blundstones before you walk in. If you live in the suburbs, it’s a coin flip either way.

Sure a per capita (18+) comparison would be more useful than NET expenditure? It might be lower but there are too many possible variables that aren’t accounted for.
For example the graph below seems to indicate younger audiences drink dramatically less beer and wine than older generations, but dramatically more Hard Seltzers than Baby Boomers.

I was once a consultant for wine companies. I was working on helping establish a new wine brand. The client was really clear that they did not want to rely on the idea of terroir, nor their vineyards closeness to the ocean as selling points.
My boss thought the brand should use a bunch sails and anchor imagery to sell the terroir and the vineyard’s closeness to the ocean.
I told him the client wouldn’t like it as they’d been clear that’s not what they wanted. He said I was wrong. If he’d told me the client was wrong that would have been fine but he insisted that I had heard it wrong and started gas lighting me.
Turns out the client felt they’d been really clear that they didn’t want a brand that focused on the terroir and closeness to the ocean and refused to pay for that round of work.

If I had to pick from the four decades I’ve personally experienced. 2016-2026 is probably the fucking worst.
Of all time? 1936-1946 is probably up there.

Probably 9th or 10th grade. A group had ganged up on one of my friends. They bullied him mercilessly, shit in his locker, pushed and shoved him whenever they saw him. I wasn’t the target but there was nothing I could do that would stop them. He cracked it one day and hit one of them after being harrased for 30 minutes straight, turned into a group brawl.
Our group of friends all got on well but we all felt like we were on the outer. Thankfully it got better in subsequent years after the worst of the bullies dropped out of school.

Nobara has been great. I fucked it up once and had to do a full resinstall. I also tried Mint and Bazzite but ended up going back to Nobara. Only had to go boot into Windows a few times to use some old programs but pretty much everything else has been perfect for me.
My banking app gets more screen time than my media apps.

An embarrassment

I see you fellow Aussie

The main value of sewerage monitoring is overflow prevention. Utilities are fined for every litre of sewage that spills so the operators have to install monitoring to aid with blockage detection and prevention and spill response times.
The secondary benefit is for recycling wastewater, which makes up the vast majority of all sewage. Monitoring it helps with treatment to create additional drinking water without the need for additional storages and reducing reliance increasingly unreliable rainfall.

I played it for the first time this year. Finished it in like 5 hours, so can’t say it would be worth full price…but I still enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

Then add a second currency for just 3 hour blocks that can only be bought in groups 5

The company I was working for offshored all our jobs to Manila. To be fair the only reason I got the job was because the people we were replacing had their jobs out sourced to us. Just corpo shit.
Try this one. See where you fall. Always interesting to compare across countries as well.
