Same with meat on the bone for me. Like… I love a biryani, but it’s so much better when the chicken/lamb is boneless. I get that the bone imparts some flavor, but I don’t think it’s worth the effort and mess.

This! Health insurance is the reason why medical costs in the US are so ridiculous. Health insurance, and IMO all insurance, is a scam. And since the “customers” (people who NEED care) can’t see the price of service beforehand, there is no way for them to choose the most cost efficient option, which allows providers to charge whatever they want. Then the insurance company can come up with reasons not to pay and put the client on the line for the cost.

While I can understand the sentiment, this is a REALLY bad and irresponsible thing to do and detrimental to yourself and society as a whole.

Lemmy, please do everything you can to set yourself up for a successful retirement. Even just a small contribution to a retirement account really will make a big difference when you’re older.
