Tell me you’re new here without saying you’re new.
My work has a process for requesting software. Over the last five years, I’ve been slowly getting open source alterntives approved, using them, and telling coworkers they’re approved. It’s just one super specialized software left.
When does the answer actually matter? Maybe in situations where sexual assault is a concern, like bathrooms, etc? In that case, just get rid of gender identity and distinguish based on if the individual has a penis or not.
It’d be messed up for the government to do this even if he wasn’t a billionaire though. End corporations in bed with government.
As a Lemmy user I’m certainly intrigued with the buzzwords you’ve thrown out, but there doesn’t seem to be an actual system anywhere in there.
Well what’s an ethical alternative? Central planning?
Corruption will exist in every government, regardless of economic system. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
2 parity is standard and should still be adequate. Likelihood of two failures within four days on the same array is small.
I was wrong, I could be bothered. None of the alternatives were really great or obviously a better word. Closest I came up with was “quality erosion”, but it doesn’t convey the same feeling of anger and sadness.

Seems more reasonable than taxing unrealized gains, although I’d prefer if the debate was on how to cut absurd amount of spending rather than trying to find new tax streams.
are those real? I don’t believe anyone ever said “it’s like linux but it works.”
Is this true?
Thank God the government is here to protect us from dangerous people like this man. /s
These anti piracy commercials have gotten really mean.
It’s a little different than that, isn’t it? More like: " look at what I built, here’s a step by step guide that makes it work. Do with it whatever you want." Some people want to use it for their job. Others might use it for personal use, or to build more open source projects.
Shut down their access to computer stores and the power companies while you’re at it. Only fair. No piracy without computers or power.
