BoulevardBlvd@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Technology@lemmy.world•Mark Zuckerberg personally lost the Facebook antitrust caseEnglish9·4 days agoIt would be very strange at this point to not see him be forced to spin them off. I mean, this is the trump admin. Anything is possible, but this is egregious (and also it would benefit musk if he was forced to do so)

What they want discord and other websites to do is impossible and not their job

BoulevardBlvd@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•this is not satire this is not satire this is not satire6·7 days agoLololololololololol. No. Unless you have a massively expensive GPU, no. The image is not being generated by your device. It’s being generated by a mile wide server bank that churns through petrochemicals like a city all on its own. That’s the part of AI people are talking about when they reference it being bad for the environment. And if you do own a massively expensive GPU and generate AI images offline, you are not part of the conversation because your activities are an ounce in an ocean.
BoulevardBlvd@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Linux@lemmy.world•Great take on "Why don't more people use Linux?"English8·11 days agoSee, you have people like you all over saying “Linux just works” and then you have other users here saying “I have to spend an hour fixing my computer running one of the most user friendly distros every single time the power goes out”. I don’t know who to believe but both cannot be true simultaneously so which is it?

Part of the Satanic Panic back in the 80s involved kids playing D&D down in parts of the steam tunnels under MSU, which, I’m told, is much harder to do now
unfortunatelyvery fortunately since children don’t know how to look out for a superheated steam leak and it was only a matter of time before a child got fucking bisectedFtfy

I don’t really see how this changes anything other than the labor budget of phishing companies.
You sound completely insufferable.
