I was completely shocked when I migrated to an iPhone 16 that I had a ton of unread spam texts. Android had been filtering them and I wasn’t even aware it was happening. Apparently iOS has no such feature. The best you can do is block numbers that aren’t in your contact list, which obviously isn’t a solution if you have any sort of life at all. But what I’m getting at is that if you switch to Android then you won’t even see any spam texts. I dumped the iPhone after a week and went back to my Pixel.

And the reason people stop shining like the sun is because they’re ticking away the moments that make up the dull day. Frittering and wasting the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in their hometown. Waiting for someone or something to show them the way.

Not as weird as reddit. Go look at the front page these days. There are posts like “what’s your name?” With thousands of upvotes. Completely worthless drivel is getting driven to the front page.

Ha! I just gave that advice to someone on Lemmy a couple weeks ago. They were having problems getting people do respond to stuff at work and I had to explain how the average person can’t track more than one subject in a single communication chain.

Weird, I read anything my eyes set upon without even thinking about it. Why wouldn’t you, unless you’re illiterate?
