Sure. But that’s like comparing me not showering for a month after living in the woods for a week, and me after a visit to the spa and a barber, and then an expensive tailor. It’s meee! 🤪

It’s hard for a lot of people to get past the look of something or someone. Hopefully the people you know who saw the disheveled version of you would just want to know what’s wrong.
It’s… just an analogy of appearance, not to do with anything social. 👍
I used to get absolutely DISGUSTED with bugs, I had phobias also. But gradually, over time, my curiosity got the better of me, and now I can absolutely be fascinated by them- I can still get heebie jeebies but it’s like, my rational I knows that it is me who is being silly, they are actually amazing and essential organisms in our biosphere. Go bugs!
I mean yeah. Same, I’m fascinated but creeped out. It used to be worse as well, when I was a kid.
