      Yeah, many I’m sure are bots, others I think schedule posts as well because I assume they figure if the site is more active around the clock it is more likely to gain users over time.

        Which is a pretty valid assumption (the activity helping growth).

        When you see dead communities and the last post was months or years ago, I know there’s no point joining. Same logic would apply to the broader Fediverse.

        One of the reasons I like to spread my content out to smaller communities, such as local/regional comms.

        Also I should add that I’m not a bot or a cat.
