I’ve actually come to like the aesthetic in certain contexts. Maybe because a lot of cointries bury their power lines so seeing them snake through the countryside evokes a more quaint and raw setting than I’m used to.
I’ve been to Kyushu once and it was really lovely down there so I’d like to get back and see more of the place.
It me, in somewhere Japan a couple days ago
Plus the system is rigged to count rural (and thus usually more conservative) votes more, so sane people have to turn out in greater numbers to keep sociopaths out of the white house
Japan doesn’t do potatoes but corn on pizza is popular. I’m willing to tolerate a lot of different toppings but for some reason corn just seems wrong to me
I grew up with a lot of Italian cooking and when I first went to Japan I saw a small pile of spaghetti in one of the bento lunch boxes covered with what I thought was marinara sauce. When I ate it and it turned out to be ketchup I almost spit it on the floor in shock.
Japan putting ketchup on spaghetti: “Hold my sake.”
There was a Stephen King short story called Survivor Type where a doctor gets stranded on an island and eventually begins eating himself for sustenance. The story is told through the journal he keeps as he becomes more unhinged.
There are better cases for elision of sounds than iie and iya, as the latter is a different word, sort of like no and nope in English. For example in more formal contexts you’d use ~teiru at the end of verbs and pronounce the i vowel, but in casual speech it’s elided to sound like ~teru.
The horse raced past the barn fell.
I’m jealous of anyone who got to do bradbury in class. I did a book report on him but there was no class discussion. I just reread Kaleidoscope the other day, one of my faves. Actually most stuff from The Illustrated Man was dope.
The reply to that just being “Yes, for the love of God,” was cold as ice.
I think it was the Gordon Ramsay one. The day Coolio died there were tons of new comments on that video.
For links you can just drop the c/ and it should work !fuckxavier@remi.therat
Although if you’re just using it as a joke hashtag you prob don’t need the domain at all and just the c/fuckxavier makes the point for you
I guess it was too much to hope Barron would manage to become a normal adult.
It probably breaks mostly along line of if you played it at release. As only the 2nd game, it’s not like they’d established a formula that felt quintessentially Zelda at that point. I remember it feeling like a decent game that was just doing something different from the 1st one.
No, the thread is about the crunchy bit. With cocktail shrimp I find it’s better to squeeze the meat out but when the shrimp is cooked and covered in sauce a lot of times I just find it less of a pain to get the meat out alone (especially if they leave the whole shell on after removing only the head and legs).
I didn’t use to eat the shell but after moving to Asia I ended up caring a lot less about whether I eat it or not. I also have other lazy/weird food opinions though-- like I’ll just eat the whole kiwi if im too lazy to go get a knife and spoon-- so maybe that plays into it as well
They need new merch with the infowars logo almost the same but with an onion dotting the i
