But that’s already true without cutting those programs. They’re already shitty stopgaps and we’re still wage slaves.

One of my podcasts this week was wondering why the clown show admin was bothering to cut medicare. They cited estimates that this bill would increase the US debt by 7 trillion over the next whatever years (like 10 or 15, I forget the exact period), and the medicare/medicaid cuts would only save 1 trillion of that. So basically, why bother saving a fraction of the cost if it’s gonna be a bananas increase anyway. You’d think the fragile orange wouldn’t want anyone negatively reacting to his decisions, especially his cultist voters in poor red states.
Do they just like, not have screens over there? I stayed in Germany once and the whole house had no screens on the windows, then I started noticing that I couldn’t see them anywhere I went.
tigeruppercut@lemmy.zipto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Time to redraw America's borders in a way that finally makes sense.4·2 days agoI think to most of those people it’s like the US is trying to “steal” the name America from the rest of the continents, but it’s really only the Spanish speaking parts of the Americas that feel that way about it. But they can have it their way in their language, and it doesn’t detract from anything. It’s like getting pissy because some cultures count continents by separating Europe from Asia and others have Eurasia (without even getting started on Afro-Eurasia).
pest toast, please ignore
Vagina is (mostly) inside, so it’s more like saying testes (or balls) when we mean scrotum plus everything inside that.
I don’t see why not. Otherwise they wouldn’t be able to bomb a structure either.
could you wear a tent like that and vampires would be unable to bite you?
I feel like they can’t enter your house, as in get their entire body over the threshold. But there’s no magical forcefield over the doorway, so if you were standing within arms reach they could grab you. The tent thing is kind of a moot point though, as there’s nothing preventing them from attacking a domicile, so they could just tear it or even just poke you with a pointed stick.
I mean, colloquially it is.

Yet I could go right from unplugging that and putting the charger in and it worked fine.
There’s just no substitute for a dedicated port, especially when it barely takes up any room
The US used to have those vending machines in bars and some restaurants too, up until the 90s. The smoking section of restaurants was mostly an invisible line that cut the room in half, so you could have a smoking table literally right next to a non-smoking one.

You said both sides have plenty of bad faith, which is wrong. In light of this discussion I’m beginning to see why you can’t understand the differences, or just refuse to.
tigeruppercut@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think is the biggest issue with Lemmy?7·8 days agoNot believing lying sociopaths is not bad faith, and I’m having trouble accepting that you’d actually think it is. I’m not sure why you’re so hung up on mango mussolini anyway, as this discussion started when I claimed that the right lied way more than the left. The president wasn’t responsible for all the lies the GOP has told for the past 50 years, although he sure does have more than his fair share.
tigeruppercut@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think is the biggest issue with Lemmy?12·8 days agoUh huh, and I’m sure we can take him at his word. It’s not like he’s ever lied. He never gave a nod to nazis ever, like telling the proud boys to stand by. Yup, good old not racist donnie, I’m sure he totally hates white supremacists.
You wanna talk bad faith, believe anything that comes out of his orange piehole.

What a cool weird game just doing its own thing. I’m sure there have been demolition games since then, but the random mechanics of the dump truck (among other vehicles) made it so unique and creative.

Violet - SpiritI’m seeing on Wikipedia that the original colors represented stuff like sunlight and life. Who was excluded by these categories?
I don’t think they need to cut those to lie about cutting waste. They can just say they found 9 gazillion dollars of fraud and this bill made everything better even if it changed nothing (except of course giving money to the rich). Why would they need to change anything to keep lying to people?
