I had a boss in an office that decided to have an Alice in Wonderland themed pot luck. She turned on the movie on repeat. Then she just never turned off the movie. It was on a screen on low volume right in front of my desk for weeks. She had an office, I didn’t. Eventually I sent her an email saying it was phycological torture after like week 3 to have the same movie playing on repeat for 8 hours Monday thru Friday.

I also worked at a video store once that we had to play the promotional DVD on repeat. It was about 2 hours long of footage over and over and we couldn’t turn it down.

I wasn’t allowed to have sugar because I was hypoglycemic as a kid. I’d get a burst of energy and then crash out. It almost put me in a coma once and I had to visit the hospital a few times.

I’d still sneak candy anytime I could!

As an adult, I don’t even associate candy with food. To my brain, it’s poison. I’m not like obsessive or anything but I don’t really eat sweets to this day even though I haven’t had any blood sugar problems as an adult.

I do eat some things with some added sugar of course but that’s about it.

Once I was dating a woman that had diabetes and to support her, we both cut out added sugar and carbs for 1 month. That was a crazy experience! I literally went through physical and mental withdrawals! Eventually my sense of taste became so different that I remember baby carrots tasting like they were dipped in sugar water! Once I stopped the diet it took weeks for me to start tasting things normally again.

Oh, speaking of sugar and taste, I had a similar experience with everything tasting like sugar when I came home from a 1 month vacation in Spain where I ate pretty normally. The amount of sugar added to everything in the US is fucking gross!

I’m starting low and slow. Took 500mg tonight. I might change it up to mornings, we’ll see. I have noticed things like omega 3 are better for me personally at night. It makes me feel refreshed and clear the next morning. If I take it during the day I feel groggy until I take it.

Agreed but on the other hand, his recklessness has brought a lot of awareness to the whole thing including a go fund me that is about to hit $500k. As long as Ben holds up his end of the bargain and pays the family, his antics will 100% be worth it for the family.

It’s way easier to ignore all the static and just watch the Reckless Ben videos yourself. Man I have been following this crazy shit even though I don’t even care about Legos. Crazy how this one YouTuber just wanted to make some content and managed to blow this whole thing wide open! It just keeps getting worse for them!

Like at what point does the corporation just decide they are going to give the Legos back or pay for them because it’s the right thing to do? Even without Ben getting involved with his crazy antics, corporate should have looked at the situation and told the new owner to pay for the inventory he inherited to the customer or give them back because it’s bad PR if they don’t. You’re building a brand on trust. How do you gain trust? By paying people what you say you’ll pay them no matter what happens on your side! I guarantee there are some huge collectors out there paying close attention to this situation that will never trust BAM now.
