One of the premier old growth redwood forests in the world, this trail begins along the great Howland Hills rd before heading into this lush wonderland. A smallish waterfall is the turnaround before heading to the spur that takes you up to the rightfully popular Boy Scout tree, truly spectacular.

A smaller (in comparison to the others) tree has fallen to a 45 degree angle and helps to show the sheer size of the surrounding Redwoods. Taken on Rokinnon 14mm Ultra-wide lens.

Fern falls, surrounded by tall Redwoods, with a section of tree stump laying in the falls. Taken on a Rokinon 14mm Ultra-wide lens.

The rootwad from a large fallen Redwood frames the small bridge crossing over a creek. Surrounded by smaller, moss covered trees. Taken using Canon RF 70-200mm lens.

Most of this run of Redwood photos are going to be shot on an Ultra-wide lens (Rokinon 14mm 2.4f) I got for myself as a birthday present at the turn of the year. That’s how I’m able to get so much of the tree at once, but also causes some stretching of what’s in the photo. So in person, the trees are a little fatter and a little shorter, but still crazy tall.
